Pulmonary hypertension is a rare and serious condition that causes high blood pressure in the blood vessels connecting the heart and the lungs – the pulmonary arteries.

It is a condition in which the pressure of blood in the arteries of the lungs and the right side of the heart is raised above the normal range.
